Frequently Asked Questions about VITROglaze™

Below are a just a few questions about VITROglaze™ if you have any others, we will be glad to answer them for you.

Can I buy a can and apply VITROglaze™ myself?

Unfortunately not, VITROglaze™ can only be applied by fully trained & licensed applicators.

Is it better to apply VITROglaze™ in the factory or once fitted into my home?

This is your personal preference.  We like to apply VITROglaze™ to your glass once installed into your home, so as to treat fittings and frames as well as the glass, however some people prefer to have VITROglaze™ applied to the glass only, in the factory.  There is no added benefit in treating parts of the glass that never get dirty eg: under fittings or framework.

How long before I can use my shower screen after it has been treated?

We generally like to leave them for about 12 hours.

Will VITROglaze™ stop fingerprints on sandblasted glass surfaces?

Yes it will, however we have a better product available for this application, it's called "MAHEM". Mahem can be applied to any sandblasted glass surface no matter how old it is.

How do I know if my glass has VITROglaze™ applied?

This is as simple as applying water to the glass, large drops of water will simply run off leaving very small drops that haven't got the weight to run. If you were to apply water to an untreated piece of glass you will see the difference immediately.

How long will VITROglaze™ last?

Well accelerated tests, show that after 15 years of external use, VITROglaze™ will lose only 18% of is active properties. VITROglaze™ comes with a full 5-year manufacturers, written guarantee.

Can I have VITROglaze™ applied to my boat windows?

Yes, so long as your windows are glass, you can treat them! In fact the Sydney Pilot Boats have been treated very successfully.
