MOST of us find keeping glass and shower screens clean, a chore but, with the application of VITROglaze™, householders can cut the elbow grease by up to 90%. It can also make the need to clean less frequent and protect the glass surface from deterioration.
Although we think glass is a smooth flat surface, it is really made up of hills and valleys! “insert below” Impurities, mould, bacteria, body fats, soap scum and shampoos build up in the valleys, making the glass difficult to clean.
With one simple process, we can apply the non-stick Teflon-like protective coating to any glass surface. This non-stick barrier bonds so well with the glass that anything else finds it very difficult to adhere to it. Any grime, bacteria and lime scale that does manage to build up can simply be removed with a wipe using a soft scourer and a biodegradable detergent.
This means that there is no more need for endless scrubbing with harsh cleaning chemicals, which can irritate your skin, eyes and lungs. By having your screen treated with VITROglaze™, you can also avoid that cloudy leopard skin look which can develop within weeks of installing a new shower screen.
The combination of body fats, soap scum and the use of some cleaning products actually etch your glass. In some cases, with older screens that are slightly etched, we can polish the etching out and then apply the treatment to the screen. This will stop the etching becoming worse."

Glass is becoming a very popular material for use in buildings but what many people don't realise is glass is very high maintenance and any dirt and grime is very noticeable.
